founder Ree Botts has spent the last five years studying black womxn healing. as a doctoral candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, her work centers intimate encounters between black women, ancestral legacies, and embodied healing. her primary research model is an everyday round the way blackgirl methodology. she incorperates digital humanities, black feminist curation, and womanist praxis into her research, using blackwomxnhealing as a basis and a framework for her scholarship. to learn more about her academic work and publications, view cv below.
